BLANKET MANTEIGAS IS AN ICONIC BLANKET, AND PART OF THE FIRST DESIGNS INTO THE SOLP COLLECTION BACK IN 2019. WOVEN IN TWO COLORS (MEDIUM GREY HEATHER AND WOOL WHITE). THE BLANKET IS MADE ON 150 YEAR OLD MACHINERY IN THE HEART OF SERRA DA ESTRELA, THE GREEN HEART OF PORTUGAL. THE SHEEP FROM THE REGION (BORDELEIRA SHEEP) GIVE THEIR WOOL ONCE PER YEAR AND LIVE A HAPPY LIFE; EVERY DAY THE SHEPHERDS TAKE THEM UP IN THE MOUNTAINS WHERE THEY FIND THE BEST GRASS OF THE REGION. THE WOOL OF THE BORDELEIRA SHEEP IS SHORT, WHICH IS WHY THE WOOL IS BEING MADE INTO A FLEECE FIRST AND IN A SECOND PHASE TWISTED INTO THE YARN. THE TWILL STRUCTURE OF THE BLANKET REFERS TO DENIM, THE BIRD'S EYE STRUCTURE IS A STRONG REFERENCE TO DURABILITY AND PORTUGESE CRAFT. THE BLANKET WEIGHS AROUND 2,5 KILO'S AND IS SIZED 160CM X 180CM. CLEANING IS EASY; HANG IT OUTSIDE OVERNIGHT AND LET THE DEW DO THE JOB. IN CASE SEVERE CLEANING IS NEEDED WE RECOMMEND DRY CLEAN.
