This knitted poncho 'TORRE' is named after the highest point of Portugal. No surprise that you find this highest point in Serra da Estrela, Portugal's green heart and Unesco heritage. The poncho is made out a yarn which is called RECY TAPE, produced by the Italian manufacturer Pinori. Pinori puts a lot of effort into recycling consumer- and industry waste into new yarn again. The yarn we used is made out of 48% recycled cotton and 52% recycled polyester. Every garment comes with a hangtag refering to the yarn factory and the recycled quality yarn the product is knit from. The size of the poncho is 160x 180, it looks great on you, it also looks great in your interior
The poncho is knit in light grey melee, the stripe on the back, the blanket stitch and the embroidery are done in dark brown.
The embroidery is done in dark brown, it is a string of passion flowers which goes over the shoulder of the poncho.
the blanket stitch is done in dark brown and done by hand by members of the community of Barcelos in Portugal. This is also where we knit, in a local, family owned factory
